In August, we changed up the format of our monthly photography challenges. Read to the bottom of this post for more details on how to participate in September for a little refresher!

First and foremost, our photo challenge hashtag changed. Previously, we asked you to use #FamilyTrailsTales to submit to the monthly theme. Now, each month we will announce a NEW hashtag that coincides with the specific theme.

Our theme for September is "Collect" and the hashtag is #FT_Collect. Read on for more details on how to participate.

As the seasons turn, it's fun to get out into nature and observe those changes close up. Take your family outside and collect whatever interests you! Then share your findings with #FT_Collect.

Because we have been happily overwhelmed with the quality of submissions, we will now be picking four participants each month to receive FamilyTrails swag. Each swag recipient will be announced on Thursdays during the theme period. We will then feature a round up on our blog at the end of the month.

The most IMPORTANT part: in order to be considered to win, you must follow the new instructions written below.

Instructions:

1.) Post your theme photo from a public account between Thursday, September 1st and 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, September 27th 2016. There is no limit to the number of entries each account can share and tag.

2.) Use #FT_Collect and #FamilyTrails in your original caption and tag @FamilyTrails in the photo.

3.) In your caption, include a few sentences explaining how your photo relates to the theme.

You must follow the above rules to qualify for the prize. Swag recipients will be chosen based on the post's adherence to the aforementioned rules, image quality, caption quality, and overall creativity.
